SEATTLE ELECTRIC GRIMMELDECK | ||
ABOUT THE GRIMMELDECK First of all, I'm not an archivist. I can't guarantee that any of the following information is completely correct. If you have corrections, definitely let me know. Technically an offshoot of the Cambridge Deck (via NK, DA, and JG), the Grimmeldeck was started in Seattle by NK, in early 2000. Today, the tradition is carried on by a wacky group of Seattleites who meet once a month to create, play, and generally have a great time with great folks. ABOUT THE GAME The game of 1000 Blank White Cards (or 1KBWC for short) is a free-form, improvisational card game where the only thing you have to know in advance is that there are blank white cards which will no longer be blank by the end of the game. Get the full scoop from the game's creator at his 1KBWC site, or go to Stewart King's site for even more information. 1KBWC has been written up in Hoyle's and Games Magazine (where the Grimmeldeck got a mention!), as well as other publications both in print and online. THE HISTORICAL RECORD We typically meet in Seattle on the first Sunday of each month.
ABOUT THE SITE The randomizer includes all cards except the initial set, for which I can find no artist attributions. All HTML was coded by hand in vi. All scripts were written in python. |
